We met Cynthia almost 4 years ago when she played a delightful little angel in a church play. Cynthia was so nervous–we kept a bucket at the edge of the stage just in case she needed to make a quick exit. Times have changed and in four years Cynthia is no longer nervous on stage and she’s certainly not nervous when it comes to standing up for what she believes in.
A few weeks ago, Cynthia accepted the challenge to make a difference in her world and she chose to help the homeless of Clermont County. She came up with the idea to collect items to deliver to the homeless along with her family. Please see the flyer below and bring your items to Cynthia’s home church of Community Christian Church at 125 E Plane Street in Bethel or you can bring them to her Grandpa’s church– The True Church of God at 513 Market Street in New Richmond. Of course, we will pick up items too… simply call the number on the flyer or call Lori Conley our Empower Youth director at (614) 506-3694.
Empower Youth is a proud sponsor of Cynthia. She is doing everything we have dreamed for our youth. She found a need. She spoke up. She took her place as a leader– and she’s making things happen!
We are super excited that because Cynthia shared her dream for helping the homeless with her class, the class decided that instead exchanging gifts that they would bring in items for Cynthia’s cause!
Way to go Cynthia!
