About Empower Youth
Empower Youth was founded in February 2015 to partner with children and youth in hopes of instilling in them the confidence and resources needed to break through the chains of generational poverty.
Birthed from members of Community Christian Church in Bethel Ohio, this organization is completely independent of CCC and functions under its own 501c3 and board. Empower Youth is the brain child of Scott and Lori Conley.
Our board members come from different financial and community backgrounds adding more than ever to the brain and brawn of Empower Youth. It takes mind and muscle both to move a gap-filling organization into 4 school districts and into fundraising more than $80,000 in resources a year.
Our executive team include: Board President- Samantha Bock, Vice President- Scott Conley, Secretary/Treasurer-James Hatch, Statutory Agent–Kathleen Miller. Our entire board consists of the executive team as well as Cory and Kristan Cover and Kayla Ragland.
Scott and Lori Conley serve as EY’s executive directors.(Scott recuses himself from the board when conflict of interest items are presented.) Much like a three legged race, our board president and our executive directors work in sync with one another– and when one tumbles they work together to lift and encourage the other.
EY is currently working with 3 other members to add to our board from various community and company backgrounds.
Our webpage and facebook support is by Davis Trousdale.
